By water, New Haven Terminal is 68 nautical miles from New York Harbor with travel times for ships and barges ranging between 7 to 12 hours.
Bulk petroleum product moves into and out of the terminal via vessel, barge, railcar, truck and the Buckeye Pipeline (regional - approximately 85 miles northbound, New Haven, CT to Chicopee, MA). Local pipeline transfer is also available between New Haven Terminal and neighboring facilities.
